Last Day

Well, it's official. The last day of classes are tomorrow and everyone seems to be in a good mood. It's amazing how fast this year went, but it's even more amazing how the weather is remaining so gorgeous. This weekend is going to be a whopping 87 degrees and sunny. Woo hoo! Thank God. After all this hot to cold weather-no wonder why everyone was getting sick. The only bad thing about nice weather at the end of the year are the finals that somehow quickly follow. This is a time when every college student becomes stressed out one way or another. You may be thinking how you can possibly study while the tempting warm weather is staring at you. Here is a funny, but very honest article a college student wrote for his school newspaper. It deals with the choices students need to make in order to actually do their school work during spring semester. Read it and see how much you have in common.

Almost at the Finish Line

This is absolutely crazy. Two weeks left of school and look at me. I am bombarded with work. Well, not exactly bombarded, but I definitely cannot afford to sit back, relax, and lay on the couch all day. I'm so excited that graduation is only 17 days away, and the thought of doing schoolwork for a measly 2 weeks is killing me. I keep telling myself to just keep going and bang all this work out, but it truly is hard at times-ask any college student. I mean, the weather is starting to get nicer, spring is in the air, and most students just want to get the hell out of here for summer vacation. I think everyone is a bit antsy, don't ya think?

What's the weather??

What a difference a couple degrees make, huh? It was so cold out yesterday here at ESU, and today it couldn't be any more beautiful. I came to the conclusion that the weather around here is 100% unpredictable. You never know what the next day is going to be like. I find myself looking up the weather on the Internet almost every night because I honestly don't know what to expect day-to-day. I've also noticed that the level of attention being focused towards schoolwork is rapidly decreasing from the looks of it. I find it really funny that when the temperature rises like 5 degrees, everyone is in a total different mindset. Schoolwork becomes second priority, everyone seems to be in a better mood, and hanging out outdoors is finally something that you can do without freezing your butt off. I just hope it lasts.

There's a Last for Everything

Holy crap, Im graduating exactly a month from today. It's my best friends birthday, but I couldn't help but think of graduation day the second I woke up. Oops. I kept going over and over in my head how I'm doing things for the "last" time. My roommates always manage to find things that I will never do again. The things they say are kind of ridiculous and funny, but don't get me wrong, they are partially right. For example, my last day eating at the caf, my last April Fool's Day here at ESU (which is probably the dumbest one of them all), my last Spring Break, or my last Winter Break. This list goes on and on-literally. They find something, even the littlest thing to make me realize that I have only 3 weeks of school- as if I didn't know already. However, I do see where they are coming from. Let's just say that they have me thinking and are definitely making me realize how much I will miss ESU, no matter how much I complain about it.

Is it summer yet??

I actually don't know why I'm so antsy for summer to come. When summer finally arrives, reality is going to hit me hard. It will be time to find a job. It's not like my usual summer vacations when all I had was a stupid job at a local store, and the rest of the time was spent relaxing and enjoying my time off until school. Now my summers (and my life) are going to be focused on a real job with a real paycheck. Wow. Never thought I'd see the day. Unfortunately, like most college students, I have no idea where I will be next year at this eAdd Videoxact time. Hopefully I will be working somewhere that isn't so bad. However, I'm accepting the fact that I probably won't like my first job or that I will have a horrible boss. Oh, well. That's life.

Week From Hell

Is it just me or was this past week absolute torture? Not only was it the first week after spring break, but it was time to set our clocks one hour ahead. As the week went on, I just kept getting more tired. Not even my daily cup of coffee in the morning did the trick. Daylight savings has never affected me so much, until this year. I swear, every time I looked at the clock, I made the "Are you freaken kidding me?" face. That one hour really does make a difference. Check out this article. Number four basically summed up my week. Thank God it's over.

Spring Break = Home

When you are in college and hear the words, "spring break," a variety of things may come to mind. This can include, no school work for a whole week, a time to see your friends and family, the vacation you've been planning since winter break, or maybe the word lame pops in your head. Well, this year "lame" came to mind. I'm spending spring break at home doing absolutely nothing. I have to say though, it feels good to just relax and not have the burden of waking up at 7:45 in the morning.

While being bored at home, I found this very entertaining list of activities to do when you're not spending spring break with your feet in the warm sand. Check it out. Hey, it can't hurt to look.
